Juan Manuel Gonzalez "valet manager" and his staff are still in charge and his Boss Joe Maldonado has since called me to advise that he has never had a complaint from Juan Manuel, which I find hard to believe, and then told me that I should always check my car when using any valet service. Thanks for the advice, but if your employees damage someone’s car, that you have been trusted with, your responsibility should be to advise the customer. Not for the customer to identify the issue and then for you all to deny it and berate the victim/customer.. Unacceptable!

I visited a family member at the Delray Medical Center and used the “complimentary” valet provided. When my car was brought back to me I walked from the back to get into my car, tipped the guy $5.00 and left. Then I realized that my 2 months old BMW was damaged in the front. I called the main number for Delray Medical Center and was given the cell number to the “manager” of the Valet. I called numerous times and no answer. I sent a text asking for a return call and no reply. I drove back to the hospital and asked the valet for the manager on duty so that I can advise of my experience. Juan Manual Gonzales came and when I mention what happened Juan Manuel immediately raised his voice and said, “YOU SAW MY EMPLOYEE HIT YOUR CAR?” I asked him to lower his tone, since I was not yelling at him and he should provide me with the same courtesy. Juan Manuel repeated his question, and I replied, “of course I did not see your employee, in the garage that is not in eye site, hit my car. But, it was not dented when I pulled in here today and now its now dented.” He replied, “how do I know you did not do it? Ive been in the business and this happens all the time.” Really, no apologies, no acknowledgement of the inconvenience nor was there any empathy. I was treated like I was trying to steal something from him. Forgetting that I am the customer and the Victim, Juan Manuel continued being very condescending, accusatory and down right rude. Juan Manuel wrote up an incident report and it only showed the scratch on the bumper, nothing mentioned about the foglight that was indented. I called Juan Manuel back to the car and pointed that out, to then be again yelled at and told. “My case management team will call you and you can tell them.”

DO NO USE THE “COMPLIMENTARY” VALET

I called the cops I was advised, that this is a civil case and I should go through my insurance company and pay my deductible for something that was totally out of my control.
